The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), an institute of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. Its skilled science and support staff based in Cambridge, Antarctica and the Arctic, work together to deliver research that uses the Polar Regions to advance our understanding of Earth and our impact on it. BAS wish to procure an additional Stable Water Isotope instrument to complement our range of analytical instruments in the Ice Core Laboratory in Cambridge. The instrument will be installed in a standard instrumental chemistry laboratory, air conditioned to 21°C. The instrument will be required to operate autonomously 24-hours per day to sample and measure the 16/18 oxygen and the hydrogen/deuterium stable isotope pairs.
