Description
Mid Sussex District Council is seeking quotations for the detail design and build of a new play area at John Pears Recreation Ground, Ashurst Wood. The latest playground inspection revealed some issues with the existing play area the Council would like to address. The is to create a modern play area which is accessible all year round. The contract will be to remove outdated equipment, modernise the play area and improve accessibility whilst conveying some of the local legend of King Ethelred. Deliverables will inculde: o Provide swings for older children including junior swings plus an inline swing for multiple children o Improve accessibility into and around the play area so it can be used and enjoyed all year round. o Improve visual connection with wider open space - Remove a length of hedge to improve visibility between the play area and the rest of the recreation ground. o Provide a castle themed multiplay unit o Seating/picnic tables Full details are availaible in the quotation pack.
