Description
The Environment Agency has a requirement for high quality high resolution multispectral imagery for a wide range of analysis purposes including coastal habitat mapping and in support of response to flood and environmental incidents. These data are obtained through the use of multispectral imaging systems in the form of the CASI (compact airborne spectrographic imager) and a pair of 4 band aerial medium format metric cameras installed on board the Environment Agency (contracted) survey aircraft which is managed and run by the Geomatics team within National Monitoring Survey. This new contract will put in place a support and maintenance package for the two existing 4 band medium format digital camera systems, which are currently used on board the Environment Agency survey aircraft. This will extend the useful life of these assets by a minimum of 3 years. The current systems are Leica RCD30 units.
