Description
The BFI wishes to digitise circa 7360 folders of business records known as 'donor files' - a collection of paper-based documents dating from 1930s to the present day. These documents are retained in new A4 non-preservation standard card folders. Each folder is labelled with a unique barcode. The estimated number of sides for all 7360 files is 292,928. The files are currently stored in 185 bankers' boxes - in general office storage - at BFI's Conservation Centre in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 3TP. The successful contractor will collect the records from BFI Conservation Centre, transport them to their facilities, scan each document containing images and/or text, return documents to their folders and transport the folders back to their storage room at BFI Conservation Centre.
