Description
The Council is undertaking a number of high value capital construction projects and requires independent project risk and programme assurance. The initial projects are: • Civic Halls Restoration : restoration and refurbishment of Grade 2 listed performance venue : Construction cost £25m • City Learning Quarter : create a learning hub of flexible spaces in the City Centre, to meet the future needs of key learning partners : Project value up to £50m The Council has a number of other regeneration and construction projects in development which it will also require support with. Further information relating to the regeneration of the city can be found at http://www.investwolverhampton.com/invest/key-developments/ The scope of the appointment is to provide the following for each project: i) at the start of a project assess the adequacy of: o project governance o decision making processes o skills, knowledge and experience of the project team ii) assessment and review of the risk identification and mitigation plans iii) at each gateway decision point provide an objective assurance that the project should be progressed to the next stage iv) lessons learnt review The Council may also require ad hoc project risk and assurance advice.
