EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCITON OF A NEW COMMUNITY HUB East Cowes Town Council are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors to tender for the construction of a new Community Hub building adjacent to the existing Town Hall in York Avenue, East Cowes. The proposed building is a single storey structure with a gross internal area of approximately 160m² and will provide library space with reception and refreshment area, a meeting room, office space and unisex disabled toilets. The scheme includes the demolition of the existing annexe building. Planning permission has been granted (LPA Ref No: 19/01595/FUL). Estimated contract value = £360,000 Proposed issue of tender documents = 22nd February 2021 Proposed return of tenders = 22nd March 2021 Proposed contract = JCT Minor Works 2016 Contractors wishing to take part in the tender process are invited to express their interest to the Town Clerk and must be registered before 12.00 Noon on Thursday, 18th February 2021.
