Description
The Council would like to procure a Framework Agreement for the provision of arboriculture services including tree surgery and tree condition surveys. These works are an essential component in the delivery of our Corporate Tree Management Strategy and will enable us to undertake remedial works on trees that are hazardous or potentially dangerous to members of the public. This procurement has 9 lots split geographically across Staffordshire, awarding three suppliers per lot.

Staffordshire County Council requires the successful suppliers to either provide a 3rd party accreditations (or complete the long hand questions) for the below CAS sections: 1. CAS: Health and Safety (exemptions can be ISO 45001 or SSIP scheme certificate) 2: CAS: Environmental (exemptions can be BS EN ISO 14001 or ConstructionLine Gold) 3: CAS: Quality (exemptions can be BS EN ISO 9001 or ConstructionLine Gold) Note 3 - evidence of the above accreditations MUST be provided to the Authority by successful Supplier prior to Contract Award The tender requires each surveyor working on this contract to demonstrate proof of competency, below are some examples that are deemed acceptable: • City and Guilds NPTC CS 30 - Chainsaw Maintenance/Cross Cut & Stack Timber using a chainsaw • City and Guilds NPTC CS 31 - Fell and Process Small Trees • City and Guilds NPTC CS 32 - Fell & Process Trees Over 380mm • City and Guilds NPTC CS 38 - Award in Accessing a Tree Using a Rope & Harness • City and Guilds NPTC CS 39 - Certificate of Competence in Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue • City and Guilds NPTC CS34/35 - Severing Uprooted or Windblown Trees Using a Chainsaw EQUIVALENTS CAN BE PROVIDED - please note it is the responsibility of the Supplier to evidence as part of the submission, that the equivalent solution proposed fully satisfies the requirements defined by the specification or question.
