BEIS - FM19128 - Testing of Electric Motors

UK Shared Business Services Ltd carried out an open competition on behalf of the Contract Authority to test a selection of Electric Motors to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these): • (EC) No 640/2009 - implementing Directive 2005/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to eco-design requirements for electric motors • (EU) No 4/2014 - amending Regulation (EC) No 640/2009 implementing Directive 2005/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to eco-design requirements for electric motors The test methods applied should follow harmonised standards the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which take into account the generally recognised state of the art. The previous publication notice number was FM19104. No tenders were received in response to the open procedure therefore under Regulation 32 (2)(a) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) the Contracting Authority awarded a contract by negotiated procedure without prior publication.
