Description
The University frequently responds to requests for contributions to policy making and related initiatives and to funding calls from the UK Government including Industrial Strategy Challenge Funds; Regional and Local Growth Funds; and devolved funds to the Region or North of Tyne. As part of the application process, certain assessments are required to be undertaken, with plans and analyses produced. This further competition outlines the need as we respond to information requests and opportunities created through various policy initiatives that relate to NICD's aims and objectives. NICD's unique approach provides an established and demonstrably successful pathway for transforming data skills across the UK, by catalysing collaboration between experts in academia and industry, transferring and embedding the requisite data skills to nurture innovation, and by identifying avenues for commercial growth to increase productivity. Our ambition is to increase the benefit of NICD's support to North-East regional organisations and replicate this success to other left-behind regions so that more organisations can exploit their data to improve productivity, become more profitable, and grow.
