1771/338/MY/AMRC/17 Refurbishment of Machine Tool - Cincinnati H5-800 The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Refurbishment of Machine Tool - Cincinnati H5-800on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Machining Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire. Scope of Requirement Refurbishment and upgrading of the Cincinnati H5-800 machine tool belonging to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing (AMRC). This machine tool offers a mechanically stable machining platform but requires refurbishment to ensure it offers optimum mechanical performance. Furthermore, the electrical system requires upgrading to provide the latest control system features such as those seen on modern machine tools. As the AMRC is a research establishment, an essential requirement of the refurbishment is the addition of, or providing the facility to add, a number of sensors to the machine tool.
