Description
Land Equipment, part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), intends to place a three-year contract for the provision of an Equipment Failure Report (EFR) and JAMES Component Report (JCR) Collection and Analysis Service. This analysis will identify emerging trends quickly, leading to solutions that prevent the need for back-loading major assemblies and Line Replacement Units for Level 4 repair, thus reducing the need for spares and increasing Mean Time between Failures. The requirement is for a Potential Provider to collate up to 20,000 EFRs/JCRs per annum from various sources and of varying types including failures, condemnations and New Stores Rejects (NSR). The EFRs/JCRs will need to be triaged for completeness and relevance, therefore knowledge of the MOD Land Environment, and the operation and maintenance of tracked and wheeled vehicles, is required by commencement of the potential Contract. EFRs/JCRs will then be categorised as safety, operational or routine and input onto a suitable database within mandated timescales for Project Team desk officers to action.
