Description

ISIS has a door security system that currently controls approximately 250 doors. Each door is wired back to a control panel called an Istar (each Istar normally handles up to 8 doors maximum). It is server based and is controlled by a software system called Ccure 800 from Software House. There is a requirement to add a further 13 doors to the current system. These doors are roughly equally spread out across 2 buildings. Eight of these doors will be added to current local Istars and the remaining five doors will need to be added along with a new local 16 way Istar. All doors require HiD Miniprox readers and will be swipe in/swipe out and have a monitored emergency break glass unit on both sides of the door to directly cut power to the magnet. The doors should be secured with a monitored magnetic lock and associated brackets (Note: one door is a double and will need a double magnetic lock). All readers to be connected to an enclosed Tyco RM-4E module local to the door. The new Istar will need installing along with battery backed up power supplies for the Istar and doors local to the Istar. We will provide a fused spur and live network socket for connecting the Istar. All other necessary cabling and containment to be provided and installed by the installer. (In some cases cable containment is already installed and available for use for this project). The installation philosophy of these additional doors must follow with the current installed system. This includes the programming of the Istar and all of the doors. The naming convention of the additions must also follow the current system and will be provided About UK Shared Business Services Putting the business into shared services UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) brings a commercial attitude to the public sector; helping our customers improve efficiency, generate savings and modernise.
