Description

This modification relates to the continuation of an existing specialist inpatient placement and associated care package at St Andrew's Healthcare on a temporary basis. This is required pending identification of a final provider, completion of the onward placement pathway, and implementation of safe transfer arrangements. The contract term has been extended for a period of four months, from 1 May 2026 to 31 August 2026. Existing pricing mechanisms remain unchanged, including the core bed rate and any clinically required enhanced observations or additional support, in accordance with the existing contract terms. Ongoing placement is necessary while searches for a suitable long-term provider continue. Alternative placement options and safe transfer arrangements are actively being explored. Any delay in provision would present a significant risk to patient safety, continuity of care, and may result in deterioration in the patient's condition and destabilisation. The original lifetime contract value prior to modification was £326,648.92 (excluding VAT). The estimated revised lifetime contract value following modification is up to £435,532 (excluding VAT), subject to clinically required observation levels. This modification is undertaken in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) urgent circumstances provisions to ensure continuity of care where it is not possible to complete a full provider selection process in time. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice. This contract has been modified under the urgent circumstances provision of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified. Decision-makers: NHS South West London ICB authorised officers in accordance with internal governance processes. No declared conflicts or potential conflicts of interest were identified. Where relevant, standard conflict of interest procedures apply.
