Description
The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of an Isle of Wight Special Education Needs Disability (SEND) Mediation Service. The Authority is seeking to commission an independent disagreement resolution/mediation service for young people, parents and carers, to deliver the statutory requirement to offer an independent disagreement and mediation service in respect of children and young people with special educational needs who are resident within the Isle of Wight. The SEND Code of Practice Section 11 supports early resolution of disagreements at local level. The Code of Practice sets out the independent disagreement resolution arrangements which Local Authorities are required to make available; for disagreements, across special educational provision, Health and Care provision in relation to Education Health and Care (EHC) plans.
