Description
Place Partnership Ltd. on behalf of Worcestershire County Council invite suitable, qualified and licensed Asbestos removal Contractors to carry the removal of Asbestos Containing Materials from boiler houses / plant rooms at the following 2 sites: (i) Sebright Building (ii) Woodfield Building both at Wolverley CofE Secondary School Blakeshall Lane Wolverley Kidderminster Worcestershire DY11 5XQ Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's) have been identified within the Boiler Room. The Licensed Contractor is expected to: Pre clean and sheet out all 'non cleanable' items to avoid contamination Remove the dust / debris to the floor throughout the Boiler Room Clean, and remove any visible residues, to the bare pipework without removing the modern lagging or aluminium casing from the pipes (possible residues below this is to be remain in situ by design). Any exposed MMMF insulation to the pipework will need to be repaired using wipe-able foil tape. Remove visible residues, bumps and lumps from the walls and ceiling Environmentally clean all wipe-able surfaces within the Boiler Room free of all dust and debris The Four Stage Clearance procedure will commence. A satisfactory thorough visual examination of the Boiler Room must be undertaken by the Tersus Analyst prior to any encapsulation works (if necessary) Following the removal of the above using industry best practices, and by adhering to the robust Method Statement submitted to the HSE by the LARC, and after the Licensed Contractors Site Supervisor has undertaken his thorough visual to check completeness and is satisfied, the enclosure will be handed to the Tersus analyst for a four stage clearance and associated clearance air testing with a brush disturbance. A competent and trained analyst, of Tersus Consultancy, on behalf of Place Partnership will be involved in the abatement works with the aim to safely reoccupy the Boiler Room as a safe environment. They will also clearly convey on the Certificate of Reoccupation (CoR) all relevant information in terms of what works have / have not taken place within the Boiler Room, where has / has not been thoroughly inspected during the four stage clearance procedure and what ACM's have been removed and what ACM's are to remain by design.
