PAN1949 - Axle Load Indicators

Leicester City Council invited Tenders for the provision of axle load indicators on an ad hoc basis for a large range of vehicles. Leicester City Council has a fleet of over 700 vehicles and is the holder of a Goods Vehicle Operator's Licence. To enhance our legal and safety compliance, we have taken the decision to install axle load indicators on all our vehicles of 3.5t GVM and above, and also on to some smaller vehicles where there is an operational need. The Contract will be for one year with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than a further three years. The contract was awarded to a single Supplier.
