Description
The Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies (PATHS) Programme is a vital, evidence based social and emotional learning intervention for children aged 4 to 11 years. It delivers a universal, whole school approach that strengthens emotional understanding, social problem solving, pro social behaviour and self control-core protective skills that support positive mental wellbeing. Richmond Council's Public Health Team has observed sustained and measurable positive outcomes from the programme's delivery across early years settings and primary schools in Richmond. To maintain programme fidelity and maximise outcomes for young children, the Council proposes an 11 month direct award to the Contractor. This approach preserves the Contractor's established expertise and strong relationships with Richmond schools and ensures continuity of a proven intervention. The proposed contract term is from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027, with an estimated contract value of £78,100.
