Description
The School of Health Sciences has been using motion analysis for over 20 years. In that time, the technology has enabled the development of kinematic models for the analysis of hand and scapula movement, which have been widely adopted across academia and industry. Further research includes understanding functional changes following total knee replacement, understanding the mechanisms of changes in shoulder function following a motor control retraining exercise programme, the relationship between trunk control and upper limb function following stroke and validated a movement control screening of the hip and lower limb. The current motion analysis system, however, is now obsolete. To continue the high impact research undertaken by the research group a new motion analysis system with integrated electromyography is required. The research group aims to develop new avenues of research including the development of automatic screening tools for movement dysfunction, and the use of virtual reality for the education of healthcare professionals. Please note that only organisations appointed to the Framework Agreement (or their nominated partner/resellers) further identified by a capability assessment are eligible to participate in this Further Competition process. Your Further Competition Response should be submitted via In-Tend, by the date specified.
