Description
We intend to begin replacement of our L25 UV spectrometers within the undergraduate teaching labs. We have 7 existing Perkin Elmer L25 UV spectrometers in total, 6 of which are >14 years old, the 7th is a newer L365 and identical to to the ones we are requesting to purchase. All of the spectrometers use the same software. There is no guarantee when we will be in a position to buy subsequent instruments in the future to complete the full replacement of the suite of UV's, therefore, to ensure continuity for students and demonstrators when working within the laboratory, we would like to buy the UV Spectrometers from Perkin Elmer so there are no discrepancies between software operation and existing written procedures. This would also be beneficial to the technical team to enable easier troubleshooting and maintenance if we have instrumentation with interchangeable parts.
