Management of Front Lawn Recreation Ground

Front Lawn Recreation Ground Front Lawn Recreation Ground (FLRG) is a public open space owned by Havant Borough Council, situated in the Battins Ward, Somborne Drive, Leigh Park, PO9 5AN Existing facilities include a hard court area, a number of grass football pitches and an aged changing block. The total site area is 49000m² and the area for development is 22228m². The project includes an upgrade to the hard court area and the development of a full size artificial grass pitch, both floodlit. These facilities are complimented by a modernisation of the changing rooms to FA standards. Adjoining the changing rooms is a new extension, to include a training suite, function room, offices and associated toilets. The FLRG project wishes to be at the heart of flexible and innovative partnerships enabling and delivering sustainable and quality sport and physical activity opportunities that meet the needs of Leigh Park residents. The aim of these new facilities is to increase community engagement in physical activity programmes, to develop a multi sport approach and deliver against priority social outcomes for the local community. The Council requires the Operator to provide management of the facilities at FLRG for use by the general public and identified sports clubs, which includes staffing, marketing and bookings, cleaning and maintenance, as appropriate.
