Maxwell 9th Floor Asbestos Removal

The University is the single occupier of Maxwell building, which houses professional services, teaching space and a canteen on the ground floor. The building is located centrally on the Peel Park campus and is the main campus reception. The University languages school occupies the 9th floor, which is made up of staff offices, teaching rooms and an open plan student breakout area. The University have been unable to access a number of ceiling voids throughout the 9th floor, due to the presence of asbestos containing materials in varied condition. The University are proposing to remove asbestos containing materials undertake an environmental clean of a number of ceiling void on the floor, to enable the reconfiguration and refurbishment of the floor.
