Description
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) intends to run a competitive procurement for the Humanitarian Emergency Response Operations and Stabilisation (HEROS) successor programme (HEROS 2.0). Implemented since November 2017, the Humanitarian Emergency Response Operations and Stabilisation programme (HEROS 1.0) (Development tracker link: https://bit.ly/4176TTi) enables FCDO to respond rapidly, at scale, to global humanitarian disasters and support work on protracted crises, chronic emergencies and humanitarian reform. It also provides FCDO with a flexible model to support the UK Government’s conflict, stabilisation and security work in fragile and conflict-affected states, both during steady state periods and in response to new crises.HEROS 2.0 will build on the success of HEROS 1.0 and deliver the following overarching capabilities as detailed below: 1. Humanitarian & Conflict Early Warning & Analysis (EWAR) 2.Humanitarian & Conflict Expert Advisory Service 3. Humanitarian Procurement and Logistics 4. Standby Partnership Deployments 5. UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) Deployments
