Description
Bitterne Police Station was 'moth balled' for disposal ten years ago however, the station is now going to be retained and will undergo a major refurbishment and reconfiguration mid to late -2021. The site is currently derelict with all mains services disconnected / isolated. To facilitate initial visits for surveys, client consultations, further site clearance / investigations and other processes in connection with the progression of the project design, a small self contained welfare and office area is required on site. It is proposed that the self contained annexe to the custody suite (comprising office / former medical room / accessible WC) is temporarily repurposed to provide this facility. This package of enabling works includes: • Cleaning / making good to proposed welfare area. • M&E services works to ensure provision of required services • Adjustments in connection with security to the proposed welfare / office area. • External site clearance • Internal site clearance
