The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is helping to create new jobs, expand existing businesses and attract new businesses and investment to the region, aligned to the ambitions set out in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Strategic Economic Plan. A key objective in the West Midlands Combined Authority Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) and the Greater Birmingham and Solihull SEP is to create 'the biggest concentrations of high value manufacturing businesses in Europe and their supply chains'. The WMGC is the West Midlands' strategic marketing company, which focuses on three business areas: (i) investment, (ii) the visitor economy and (iii) strategic marketing (https://wmgrowth.com). This tender is issued by the West Midlands Growth Company, on behalf of its clients Drive Midlands, Birmingham City Council, GBS LEP and the City of Wolverhampton Council. (CWC) This tender is to support the Birmingham Development Plan and Greater Birmingham & Solihull SEP. Project activity will focus on attracting key employment sites including Economic Zones in Birmingham and within the GBSLEP areas identified as having growth potential in Solihull, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. The project will also focus on key employment sites including Economic Zones in Wolverhampton. The tender is for a one year contract. It is based on generating leads in the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors for the Greater Birmingham area which covers the regions of Greater Birmingham and Solihull and the City of Wolverhampton.
