Description
The BFI wishes to commission a review of its education and learning programmes. The goal of the review is three-fold: To provide an expert assessment of the BFI’s Education programme (part of the BFI’s cultural charity remit) from 2023 to current year highlighting its relevance, effectiveness and impact to its beneficiaries and to the sector as well as risks and challenges To benchmark the BFI’s activity against cultural peers in the cinema and heritage moving image sector as well as national museums and galleries, determining what is unique about our offer and to identify best practice, innovative approaches and societal barriers the sector faces and how others have navigated them To make prioritised recommendations as to the key interventions that would meet Screen Culture 2033 ambitions to advance our knowledge, collections, programmes, National Lottery funding and leadership, to build a diverse UK screen culture that benefits all of society, informing a new Education strategy from 2026, addressing internal and external factors key to the strategy’s success.
