The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Regulatory Delivery Directorate is the appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for enforcing the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling in the Environment for Equipment Outdoors Regulations within the UK. Suppliers are strongly encouraged to read the text at the following link in order to gain a full understanding of the role of the enforcement services with Government: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-regulation-enforcement-services BEIS will carry out market surveillance to determine the current levels of compliance within the water storage tank sector in line with Ecodesign and Energy Labelling requirements placed on the UK market in relation to limits, labelling and Declarations of Conformity. Tenders are invited for testing according to the requirements detailed below. To test a selection of Ecodesign (Water Storage Tanks) to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these): Regulation (EU) No 814/2013 Regulation (EU) No 812/2013 BS EN 12897:2016 - Rated Storage Volume BS EN 13203:2015 - Tapping, Standby and V40 Tests appropriate for the appliance BS EN ISO 7744:2010 - Sound Power Level Testing shall include labelling requirements on airborne acoustical noise emissions. Testing shall also include the checking of Guaranteed Sound Power Level labelling, CE labelling and checks on Declarations of Conformity. The test methods applied should follow harmonised standards the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which take into account the generally recognised state of the art.
