Description
The British Council is seeking a supplier to conduct a study which identifies barriers to international collaboration in tertiary education; explores examples of how barriers have been navigated or overcome in the past; and investigates how expansive transnational education (TNE) projects can assist the development of education systems. The objective of this study therefore is to identify barriers and facilitators to collaboration in international tertiary education. Specifically, the study will focus on identification of barriers to the recognition and acceptance of international professional and tertiary qualifications (up to and including PhD), and identification of expansive collaborative transnational education (TNE) projects which facilitate development of education systems and increase/diversify delivery of international qualifications at a state, national, or regional level. This research has an aim of producing a set of actionable recommendations for the Going Global Partnerships programme. It will explore both the explicit and implicit barriers and provide a strategic pathway for the Going Global Partnerships programme to design interventions that contribute to the removal of such barriers.
