Brief Description of Requirement: The Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC) at Daresbury Laboratory is currently building an accelerator test facility, CLARA - the Compact Linear Accelerator for Research and Applications. FEBE (Full Energy Beam Exploitation) is an add-on to the CLARA project, taking the 250 MeV electron beam into a separately-shielded experimental hutch, providing additional resources for experiments and exploitation such as laser-plasma acceleration. The beamline requires dipole, quadrupole, and corrector magnets. This procurement relates to the dipole beamline magnets. The deliverables for this project are as follows: • 4 "Type 6" dipole magnets • 1 "Type 7" dipole magnet • Two spare dipole coils, one of each type • Drawings • QA documents • Measurement data This contract covers the: • magnetic design • engineering design (mechanical, thermal and electrical) • procurement of all materials • manufacture and assembly (including all jigs and fixtures) • magnetic measurement • electrical and mechanical testing, including fiducialisation • documentation • delivery to Daresbury Laboratory, Warrington, WA4 4AD, UK The contract does not cover: • power supplies for the magnets • the supporting girders For the full Specification, please see document UK SBS PR19089 Specification, and any other relevant supporting information. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ / RFP document.
