Glacios Cryo EM

This contract is for the purchase of a Glacios 200kv Cryo EM system by UKRI - MRC, to be used at their LMBfacility in Cambridge. Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition in the Official Journal of the European Union in the cases listed below • The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: • absence of competition for technical reasons The Glacios Cryo EM System is only available through the manufacturers, and was chosen to ensure it meets the technical and functional compatibility standards required with MRC - LMB's existing Krios Cryo EM system; its auto loader, sample holders, have the ability to act as a per screen and allow compatible script development. As such the only available system is the FEI Krios Cryo EM system
