Description
The provision of Suicide Prevention Training to Hampshire County Council and partner organisation in line with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW) Integrated Care System (ICS) footprint which targets frontline professionals and provides skills in managing one-off suicidal conversations, enabling people to signpost on to appropriate services. The training provided, provides a therapeutic framework and the tools to work with a client on an ongoing basis in managing their suicidal ideation. This has been identified by partners as a gap, via local Suicide Prevention Forums and Partnerships across the ICS. CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) training is based on the work and research led by Dr. David Jobes and is based on suicide risk being treatable and works to address the drivers that make someone want to die by suicide.
