DFID 8403 Syria Independent Monitoring (SIM) Scale Up Contract Award

The objective of the scale up is to strengthen independent monitoring in Syria for increased assurance and accountability. This is linked to a key recommendation by ICAI as part of their 2018 review of the DFID Syria portfolio. Activities led under the Syria Independent Monitoring contract ongoing since 2015 (hereafter called 'the current contract') already give DFID assurance and help to drive up the quality of projects in Syria. By increasing verification activities during the scale up period, DFID will be provided with greater assurance and the risk of fraud and aid diversion will be further mitigated.
