Biodiverse Winstead - Collaborative Agreement

• Complete a desk-based catchment study of topography, land use, drainage network and land ownership. • Complete a catchment walkover to ground truth the desk-based study and assess ecological diversity. • Produce a catchment report of the desk-based study and walkover outputs. • Identify and engage all willing landowners to develop options for potential interventions. • Select and deliver a suite of interventions to change land management of the most flood prone areas in the catchment. • Provide advice to landowners on Agri-environment schemes and assess the potential for sustainable funding. • Deliver a connected network of improved habitats along the Winestead Drain that will be sustainable within farm businesses. • Identify and engage with existing community groups, to develop engagement materials and include a wider range of people living in the catchment. • Produce an annual report on the results of stakeholder engagement, the interventions delivered across the catchment, including maps and photographs.
