Description
The contract is for the provision of routine and periodic cleaning services across multiple Lyme Regis Town Council managed sites for the period 2026-2027. The appointed contractor is required to deliver a comprehensive cleaning service to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation appropriate for both staff and public use environments. The contract includes cleaning services at the following types of facilities: - Council offices and welfare buildings -The Guildhall, including public-facing and event spaces -Public convenience facilities, including Marine Parade and Anning Road Playing Fields The services include, but are not limited to: -Routine cleaning of offices, welfare areas and public buildings -Multi-daily cleaning of public toilets, including seasonal frequency variations -Locking and unlocking of public convenience facilities -Waste removal and disposal -Replenishment of consumables (provided by the Council) -Reporting of defects, maintenance issues and health and safety concerns -Annual deep cleaning of specified facilities The contractor is required to: -Adhere to agreed cleaning frequencies and schedules -Maintain appropriate Health and Safety standards, including provision of risk assessments and COSHH documentation -Provide all necessary cleaning equipment and labour resources -Deliver services in a manner that minimises disruption and ensures public safety Performance Requirements: -Services will be subject to ongoing monitoring and monthly performance review -Performance will be assessed against agreed standards and responsiveness -Consistent service quality and reliability are key requirements of the contract The contract is a single-supplier service contract, delivered across multiple sites within Lyme Regis.

The contract may be extended for up to one additional period of one (1) year. Any extension will be at the sole discretion of the Council and will be subject to: • satisfactory performance against the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); • completion of a formal performance review; • continued service requirement by the Council; and • budget availability and internal governance approval. Any extension will be confirmed in writing and is not guaranteed.
