Description
CORMAC Solutions is inviting tenders for the application of Cold Applied Ultra-Thin Surfacing across Cornwall's highway network. The programme of approximately 4 - 6 weeks (weather and performance related) will run between August 2017 and October 2017. The system must be: HAPAS Approved - Cold Applied Ultra-Thin Surfacing System suitable for Highways It must be designed to comply with the initial & retained texture depth requirement for Cold Applied Ultra-Thin Surfacing in accordance with MCHW SHW, Volume 1, Clause 942, incorporating Interim Advice Note 154/12, Clause 921, Table 9/3SR & Table NG 9/32. A minimum 2-year guarantee is to be supplied with the product. The product must give a minimum texture depth initially of >1.3mm and after 2 years of >1.0mm. The contractor & relevant system must be fully accredited & be able to demonstrate CE Mark approval. The system is to include a bond coat which must be applied at all times prior to the main application, the system will also include the use of cellulose or glass fibre within the mix. The finished surface must be compacted with a steel roller prior to completion.
