Description
The UK ratified the WHO Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products in 2018. The Protocol requires parties to implement a traceability system for tobacco products manufactured in or imported into their territory, taking into account regional specific needs and available best practice. The provider's main responsibilities will be to deliver a: -ID issuer service, to ensure tobacco products manufactured in or imported into the UK are marked with a unique identifier -Data repository and router to store data relating to products and which is accessible to HMRC.
