Description
The borough Council of Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking tenders from prospective service providers to deliver:- a) The provision, management and supervision of competent, suitably licensed CCTV control room staff to undertake the required operations and activities in the Council's CCTV control room. Note - the normal requirement is for 1 full time duty officer per shift, the duty officer should be operational as per the agreed contracted hours, on time for every shift. b) The provision of competent, suitably licensed staff to undertake the management and supervision of the control room staff. c) The provision of sufficient competent, suitably licensed staff to provide relief cover for holidays, sickness and any other absence of the duty operator. d) The operation of the CCTV system and the surveillance of all the TV monitors within the control room in accordance with this Specification and with control room procedures, any assignment/tasking instructions notified by the Council or the Police, any other operating guidelines issued by the Council. The control room operators shall also adhere to the operating instructions in respect of the CCTV equipment. e) The maintenance of all logs, record sheets (including computerised records) as required under the control room operating procedures. f) Liaising with the Council's CNO, the Police, StoreNet and Pubwatch by radio, telephone or in person. The Council works with PABC to enable volunteers to monitor the CCTV outside of these contracted hours. If required the contractors operators will be required to liaise with volunteers. g) The operation of the data recording systems. h) Monitoring that the CCTV system is functioning normally. i) The management and security of and access to and from the Control Room. j) The management and control of the integrity, security and confidentiality of all the information and recorded material associated with the provision of the service in compliance with the relevant legislation. k) Ensuring the control room, adjoining corridors, kitchen area and WC's are in a clean and tidy condition. I) Communicating with the Client's Nominated Officer and/or his representative, who will be the Contractor's primary points of contact.
