National Highways recognises the value that early contractor involvement brings to schemes in their early stages of development. When required, we will bring in contractors to help identify a suitable solution, or to better understand the buildability and materials / construction methods available. The expectation is for the Contractor to provide an indicative cost for 2 site visits and 3 workshops. Any additional work will be instructed under a PMI/ CE. Please note that ECI is to help inform a scheme and does not guarantee that the construction work will be awarded to a particular contractor.
