Description
Award of a call off contract under the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System for Rail Course for Prisoners at HMP Highpoint. Requirements include: - Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence - Direct Current Conductor Rail (DCCR) - Overhead line equipment (OLEC 1) and track induction (TIC) - Health and safety training and requirements including fire awareness. - How to use small plant machinery, tools, and equipment for a minimum of 5 days. - Theory and practical training on the key principles of overhead line engineering including bonding and rigging, as well as signalling and telecoms including basic diagrams. - Evidence of employers providing contracts of employment to learners prior to release - Learners must complete a Network Rail Drug and Alcohol screening/medical prior to the course commencing. - Must provide pastoral 1-2-1 support to learners on release. Named individual for TTG care. Within 48hrs. Communication with the community offender manager. Speak with trainee's minimum once per week. Support to be in place for a minimum of 6 months and 12 months dependent on an individual case post release.
