Description

This is a contract for the provision of a Personal Health Budget E-wallet system. The PHB discharge scheme supports timely hospital discharges by allowing acute providers access to an e-wallet to address non-clinical barriers (e.g. transport, bedding, cleaning), particularly for medically optimised patients on discharge pathways 0 and 1. Without this service, delays in discharge increase, impacting patient flow, bed availability, and overall system pressure - especially during peak demand periods such as winter. The contract started 01/09/2025 and will run until 31/03/2026 with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
