Description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of the provision of major resurfacing along Thamesdown Drive which has been identified as an area in North Swindon in need of essential highway maintenance (including the provision of associated pre-works, ironworks, loops cutting, road marking / lining and all necessary traffic management to complete the works). The resurfacing works (and associated pre-works) will include: • Carriageway resurfacing • Replacement of existing kerbing where necessary • Adjustment of existing ironwork where necessary • Replacement of road markings where necessary • Replacement of High Friction Surfacing where necessary • Replacement of Traffic Loops where necessary • Provision of suitable traffic management proposals and on site (including necessary associated advance signage and diversions) to accommodate the work within constraints outlined within the tender documentation as per agreements with SBC Streetworks. The Contractor is responsible for providing traffic management in order to undertake the works. Full details of the Works are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com Contract Period The contract will be initially for a period of 5 weeks (+2 mobilisation) commencing 12 March 2021 with the option to extend for a further 4 weeks if provisional works are awarded as per the contract terms and conditions. Estimated contract spend is between £450,000 and £550,000 across the initial 5 weeks contract term and between £550,000 and £600,000 across the potential total 9 week (+2 mobilisation) contract term.
