Issued on behalf of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary - Supply of Marine Vessels (RIBs - Rigid (Hulled) Inflatable Boats)

Hampshire has two busy ports, Southampton and Portsmouth, with many miles of coastline both on the mainline and also on the IOW to police. In order to facilitate this, the Force has established a single supplier contract to supply Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary with two Rigid (Hulled) Inflatable Boats (RIBS) to operate within the waters surrounding Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Various aspects were considered to ensure the boats could operate in various weather, lighting conditions and have appropriate navigational equipment suitable for the Police Force.
