Description
The London Borough of Merton (LBM) is seeking experienced consultants to undertake a borough wide Strategic Housing Market Assessment. Merton's SHMA must be guided by the National Planning Policy Framework (2012 and emerging) and guidance and comply with the Duty to Co-operate. Although Merton's housing targets and other strategic matters are guided by the London Plan, the associated London-wide housing market assessment and other research it is still important for Merton to have a robust, up-to-date assessment of housing markets in its area to inform local policies. The council is seeking a Consultant to prepare a borough-wide SHMA to support the borough-wide Local Plan with the following priorities: Borough wide SHMA with a particular focus on: • Colliers Wood / South Wimbledon • Mitcham • Morden • Raynes Park / West Barnes • Wimbledon • Any other clearly identified sub-market • Any sub-market connections connecting Merton to surrounding boroughs
