Description
GMCVO is looking for a provider with the ability to deploy the skills and expertise and with an appropriate track record in similar work to support people over 50 with learning disabilities to engage in a programme of research on approaches to age friendliness. This will be followed by a programme of awareness raising work. This work will be delivered across Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside and Wigan. Providers will be required to work with people from across all 8 districts. It is anticipated that the provider will work with people with a wide range of learning disabilities. The provider will be expected to explain how they will reach and engage people to enable them to become co-researchers in the project. The provider should explain their rationale and give details of the approach used to facilitate active participation of individuals in both the research and campaign phase of the project. We are also interested in finding out the impact that being involved in research has upon the co-researchers in the 8 districts.
