Description

Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking to award to a single supplier for the Provision of a Maintenance, Inspection and Repair Service for Lifting Equipment. The equipment that requires this service is generally located in private dwellings for the use of Southend-on Sea residents and their carers, or may be located in the community equipment service warehouse. Start Date: 1st September 2026 End Date: 31st August 2030 Estimated Value: £450000 This contract award notice will trigger an 8 working day standstill. Providing no challenge is received, standstill will end at midnight on the 27th of July.

This service is required to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of lifting and handling equipment used in a home environment, and so that the Council is in compliance with its obligations with regard to: The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities), safeguarding and infection control policies in accordance with the previously mentioned acts, and local authority governance standards.
