Description
Wakefield Council is seeking market engagement to inform the future procurement of a modern, cloud-based suite of solutions to support the delivery of its integrated Adult Social Care Equipment, Wheelchair and Adaptations Services. The Council requires configurable, scalable solutions that provide comprehensive operational, asset management and reporting capabilities, supporting service delivery from initial referral through to the ongoing management, maintenance and eventual disposal or recovery of equipment and adaptation assets. Solutions should reduce administrative burden, improve operational efficiency, enhance visibility of service activity and asset status, and provide a single source of trusted information across each service. The Equipment Service Solution will support the complete lifecycle of community equipment for adults and children, including referral management, assessment, ordering, stock and inventory management, asset tracking, delivery and collection scheduling, route optimisation, maintenance, servicing, repairs, decontamination, recycling, reuse and disposal. The solution should provide real-time operational visibility, mobile and handheld device support for field-based staff, barcode and/or RFID capability, configurable workflows, comprehensive reporting and audit functionality, and secure role-based access for Council staff, NHS partners and other authorised users. The Wheelchair Service Solution will support the end-to-end management of wheelchair services, including referral and waiting list management, clinical assessment, prescription, appointment and clinic scheduling, wheelchair provision, maintenance, repairs, recalls, reviews and asset management. The solution should support clinicians and operational teams through configurable assessment forms, integrated communication with service users, mobile working, lifecycle management of wheelchair assets, and reporting that supports operational management, clinical governance and statutory requirements. The Adaptations Service Solution will support the ongoing management of adaptation assets installed within domestic properties, including servicing, maintenance, repairs, compliance management, contractor management and lifecycle tracking. The Council is seeking a solution that provides comprehensive asset records, servicing schedules, warranty and compliance information, contractor collaboration, audit trails and reporting to ensure adaptation assets remain safe, compliant and effectively maintained throughout their operational life. Across all three services, the Council requires solutions that are highly configurable without supplier development, support integration with current and future Council, NHS and partner systems through standard interfaces, provide secure cloud-based access with robust security and audit controls, and deliver flexible reporting and analytics. The Council is seeking solutions that improve productivity, strengthen governance and asset management, support collaborative working across organisations, and provide the flexibility and scalability to meet future operational requirements and changing demand.
