Description

1.1 The Authority is looking for Tenderer(s) for a consumer market research firm to undertake a research study into Geographical Indication for foods and drinks within the UK. 1.2 The project consists of consumer market research into how the UK government can best promote the UK's geographical indications (more commonly referred to as protected food and drink name products) and the new UK geographical indication (GI) schemes due to be launched at the end of the transition period on 1st January 2021. 1.3 We want to understand how we can increase the impact of the GI schemes amongst UK consumers, in particular amongst our core target audiences - the AB socio-economic group and the 25-34 year old age group. 1.4 Defra would like to harness the findings of this research to inform our plans for the launch of the new UK GI schemes and the effective promotion of these schemes (and the products protected under these schemes).
