Description

Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts, is based in North East London. The Trust runs five hospitals throughout the City of London and East London, and these are • Mile End Hospital • Newham University Hospital • Royal London Hospital • St Bartholomew's Hospital • Whipps Cross University The services required are: a) Outpatient prescription dispensing services. b) Outpatient dispensing of medicines into monitored dose systems (e.g. Venalink, Nomad) for specific clinics. The Trust will supply the list of clinics. c) Outpatient private prescription dispensing services. d) Retail pharmacy services, including the provision of P and GSL medicines. e) Delivery of medicines dispensed by the Supplier. Note: Delivery will be in line with the Trust's requirements around deliveries of medicines. f) Medication collection service for medicines issued by the Supplier. On site pharmacy dispensing services are required at Royal London and St Barts hospitals only. Remote dispensing to be available to outpatients at other sites. The delivery model must provide an overall balance of patient access, digital transformation, estate optimisation and financial sustainability.

Participation

Conditions suppliers must meet to bid.

Pharmacy Dispensing Service. All prescriptions must be dispensed in line with the Authority's treatment protocols, prescribing guidelines, policies and standards. This includes applicable National Standards, such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, NHS England guidance, and applicable laws and Regulations.

Pharmacy Dispensing Service. The Supplier will be responsible for ensuring medicines are dispensed correctly, and the quality and integrity of medicines are maintained. Supplier will meet all applicable national standards. The Supplier should have ISO 9001 or be working towards this accreditation
