Description
There is a current issue regarding anti-social behaviour/driving on the A10 dual carriageway, northbound, between the Brookfield Shopping Centre and the Hoddesdon junctions. Unofficial race meets are planned on social networks on this stretch of road causing threats to road safety and excessive noise disturbance to local residents. This is particularly prevalent in the summer months and weekend evenings/nights. A Temporary Average Safety Camera installation is to be installed to counter this; Northbound only; one link; enforcement in both lanes at National Speed Limit. There is no street lighting at the location, limited power and night time enforcement is essential, however white light flood lighting is not feasible as an improved view may encourage larger audiences to the site and enable the anti-social behaviour. Also as this is a high speed route with no street lighting and general road users could be disoriented by sudden pools of white light. As a supplier of Home Office Type Approved Average Speed Camera Systems you are invited to Quote for temporary average speed camera system for this location.
