Description
This contract is for the mechanical servicing and electrical safety checks of all plant at Sparsholt and Andover Colleges. Servicing and maintenance must be carried out by a sufficient number of qualified staff who work to an industry best practice and all works shall comply with the latest Codes of Practice and to the latest British Standards. The Service provider must ensure that fully qualified specialists are employed where required. Refrigerant handlers must hold an appropriate F gas qualification in accordance with current regulations. All contractors working on site must have been CRB checked. The contractor must be familiar with all aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Act with particular reference to asbestos and control of legionella. The Service will include: • Routine Servicing, cleaning and inspection • Repairs and replacements of defective worn parts • Out of hours "call-out" for breakdown situations • Minor works and repairs • Record keeping Items of plant include but are not restricted to: • Oil fired boilers • Oil fired burners • Gas fired boilers • Atmospheric Gas burners • Direct fired hot water generators • Forced draught gas burners • Boiler/Burner controls • Hot water cylinders, calorifiers and heat exchangers • Cold water storage tanks and feed • Automatic controls • Direct fired gas warm air heater/convector • Fan convectors, Unit heaters and natural convectors • Gas fired radiant heaters • Air handling units • Supply air fans • Extract fans • Oil tanks • Pressure sets • Domestic boilers • Pumps • Gas detectors • Water treatment equipment • Electric water heaters • Direct fired oil warm air heaters • Air conditioning plant and units • Thermostatic mixing valves, showers and spray taps • BMS (Building management Systems)
