Evaluation of the 'Dairy Improvement Programme'

AHDB has been successful in securing grant funding to undertake a five-year Dairy Improvement Programme (DIP) which will trial the implementation of new engagement strategies to increase the profitability and resilience of the Welsh dairy sector. The DIP is made possible through the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union. The Programme will trial the implementation of new engagement strategies to increase the profitability, resilience and long-term sustainability of the Welsh dairy sector, together with exploring new approaches to Knowledge Exchange. AHDB requires tenderers who can provide an independent evaluation of the DIP. The evaluation needs to include: • a review of targets and plans at the commencement of the programme • regular liaison with AHDB during the life time of the programme to monitor progress • an interim mid-term evaluation of the programme • a final evaluation at the end of the programme.
